The Federal Government's Women's Pre-Qualification Loan Program (introduced as a pilot program in 1994) is designed to increase the number of small business loans made to women business owners by helping them pre-qualify for Federal Government loan guarantees. Since the program's inception, the Federal Government's Small Business Administration has approved 614 small business loans for a total of nearly $63 million.
